The recent announcement of £500m for discharge to assess in 2020/21 is welcome but the government needs to go further to make the expansion of community care a reality.

In order to support #communityhealthservices, the govt must:

- Invest in public health & fix social care
- Agree a pause in retendering community health & public health contracts
- Support reduction of bureaucracy

- invest in home-based community pathways & community rehab beds
- Boost community workforce
- Fully fund AfC pay uplift for staff on NHS contracts for LA-commissioned services
