@fischerville @Neezie54Deb @winit4us 1) To repeat: The coroner ruled George Floyd's death a homicide. The proximate cause is not in dispute: He died of “cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint & neck compression.” But the report also indicates there were aggravating factors ...
@fischerville @Neezie54Deb @winit4us 2) Floyd's blood tested positive for Fentanyl at a concentration of 11 ng/mL. Levels as low as 7 ng/ml have proven lethal, especially where more than one substance is involved. Hypoventilation, (depressed breathing) is one of the most severe side effects of Fentanyl overdose.
@fischerville @Neezie54Deb @winit4us 3) Oxford Treatment Center notes a person who's overdosed on Fentanyl will exhibit noticeably slowed or shallow breathing. In some cases, the person may stop breathing, become unconscious or comatose. Blood pressure & heart rate plummet, as well.
@fischerville @Neezie54Deb @winit4us 4) Floyd was also a heroin junkie: His free urinary morphine concentration of 86 ng/mL far exceeded the level of 64.2 ng/mL that indicates heroin abuse. And Floyd had done meth that day, which only would have exacerbated pre-existing cardiopulmonary issues.
@fischerville @Neezie54Deb @winit4us 5) Given all the facts, it's not "vile" or far-fetched to posit that Floyd was a dead man walking that day. The coroner reports Officer Chauvin's actions did not result in life-threatening injuries to Floyd's neck. But the face-down restraint nevertheless hastened Floyd's demise.
