1. I know there is a lot going on but please pay attention to what is going on with the CENSUS

In a few months or a few years, Trump will be gone.

But this Census will impact politics for the next decade.

And it's being brazenly manipulated

2. The pandemic has made conducting the Census, always a monumental task, much harder.

Up until a few days ago, the Census Bureau and the White House agreed they needed more time to complete their work.

The Census Bureau needed 4 EXTRA MONTHS

3. Then this week everything changed. Census Bureau announced they would stop all counting ONE MONTH EARLY, on September 30

This comes as 40% of households haven't been counted

It's the marginalized groups that are hardest to count that will be left out

4. What happened?

Once the Census Bureau submits its results, Trump plans to subtract undocumented immigrants & send those manipulated numbers to Congress

If the deadline was extended, that couldn't happen until April 2021. Trump might not be in office

5. So the Census Bureau has set aside its job of doing an accurate count, and is conforming the process to Trump's political timetable

Trump wants the numbers reported to him by December 31, so he can try to manipulate the results to benefit Republicans

6. By cutting the count short, the Census will likely undercount minorities and other marginalized communities, robbing them of federal funding and reducing their political power for a decade or longer

7. This is particularly important to understand because IT CAN BE STOPPED

Democrats can insist on preserving the integrity of the Census as a condition of the next coronavirus relief package

1. This week, the Trump campaign has spent about $100,000 on Facebook advertising a contest to win dinner with Trump this Saturday in Southampton, New York

The contest is a scam.

2. Governor Cuomo has signed an executive order requiring people traveling to New York from states w/a high positive test rate to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival

This currently applies to 34 states

Violators can be fined up to $10,000

The ads were shown to Facebook users 4.5 million times

3/4 of the ads were targeted at users who live in states subject to the quarantine

1. The only was to vote safely for many Americans in by mail & Trump is actively sabotaging the USPS in response

In the Philly area some are going "three weeks without packages and letters, leaving them without medication, paychecks, and bills"

2. Trump installed a donor and Republican operative as the new Postmaster General. He immediately eliminated overtime and instructed postal workers to leave undelivered mail on the floor

It's creating large backlogs that will get worse over time

3. 34 states require the ballot to be RECEIVED by election day to count. That means significant delays in postal delivery could result in lots of ballots be tossed.

UPDATE: Starting Tuesday, there was a lot of interest in the Trump administration $765M loan to Kodak that sent its stock from $2.11 to $60

But during that convo, the most direct evidence of executive profiteering was being CONCEALED from the public

2. Late Wednesday (7/29), Kodak quietly disclosed to the SEC that the day before the deal was announced (7/27) it awarded a bunch of options to top Kodak execs

The top beneficiary was Kodak CEO Jim Continenza he received 1.75 MILLION options on 7/27

3. But when Continenza appeared on Fox Business and CNBC on the morning of 7/29, he could not be asked about the option grants BECAUSE KODAK HAD NOT DISCLOSED THEM

It appears to be a deliberate effort to keep the grant out of the news cycle
