Jan 2017- Byju’s acquires Vidyartha, a career guidance & profiling platform, to boost its personalized learning product.
May 2017- Harvard Business School publishes a case study on how Byju’s is leveraging tech to change the way students learn and study

July 2017- Byju’s acquires US-based startup TutorVista to expedite its expansion in the US and other international markets
Nov 2017 - Shahrukh Khan is signed as Byju’s brand ambassador

Mar 2018 - Byju’s is now a unicorn with a valuation of over $1billion

Jan 2019- Osmond, a US based maker of educational games, gets acquired for $120million
July 2019 - Byju’s replaces Oppo as the official sponsor of India’s cricket team

Dec 2019 - Byju’s turns profitable
June 2020 - Byju’s becomes the world's most valued Ed-tech startup with a valuation of over $10billion
Aug 2020 - Byju’s acquires Indian startup WhiteHat Jr ( a coding platform for kids) for $300million in all cash deal.

Okay, time for another interesting story. 

Ever wonder how the blue Parachute Bottle came into existence? Here's a thread on how rats forced Marico to redesign the package encasing their most iconic product.
Back in the early days Parachute was sold in huge tin cans of 15 litres each, mostly through wholesalers. But during the late '70s traders in Bombay began experimenting with different packs and sizes. Some of the more adventurous folks had begun to sell Parachute in smaller packs
The new packs were more consumer-friendly and received a lot of interest from buyers. When Harsh Mariwala, the founder of Marico got whiff of this, he immediately charted a plan to introduce Parachute in cheaper and more consumer-friendly plastic cans.

5G Announcement: Mukesh Ambani says 5G will be ready for field deployment next year. And they'll be ready for trials as soon as 5G spectrum is available. Says technology is 100% home grown
Think of Spectrum allocation as the government's way of auctioning radio frequencies (5G airwaves for example). Who gets to use how much is incumbent on who's willing to pay the most.

Are Humans innately trustworthy?

Consider a game — You receive $100. You can either choose to keep it or offer it to a stranger. If you offer it to the stranger, the money will instantly quadruple and the stranger will receive $400.
At this point, the stranger can decide to keep all the money or return half of it back to you.
If you ask standard economists, what the stranger is likely to do here— they’ll tell you that the stranger will maximize his own utility and keep the entire $400. They'll tell you there's no need to reciprocate since returning half the money makes no economic sense.
