I actually grew up driving trucks and doing construction work in rural Colorado. this part right here is both dangerous and pointless. you create a much bigger blind spot & foul up your aerodynamics for no reason

one addendum: I didn't get around to CAFE standards and other tax benefits in the article, but this is true. regulations have been encouraging larger vehicles for years
seen this attempt to blame the victim over and over by asserting pedestrian deaths are about cell phone use. but Europe has phones too and EU deaths are down 40 percent since 2007
