The problem with which @irishlovemonkey (and other similar feminists) is concerned is best explained by these graphs (advances.sciencemag.org/content/advanc…, p. 2; businessinsider.com/dataclysm-show…). She wants to pathologize the norm because the norm disadvantages her (and feminists like her). 
The problem is, in part, that men have to develop high enough steady earnings to date who they want and have a stable relationship with that woman.

When men reach their peak earnings they can afford to start a family. Men need to outearn their female partner for a stable relationship (see above).
