The law protects everyone's human rights.

It does not compel people to pretend that they see a woman if they see a man.

But at every stage the law is being twisted and misrepresented, and barriers put up to those trying to use it to seek fairness and justice for women.
EHRC and GEO publish inaccurate guidance - conflating sex and gender, and telling people that males have the right to share "female only" services.

Legal textbooks and databases reference cases from lower courts which are not binding to suggest that women do not have the right to object to undressing with or being being cared for by male individuals.

If you want to go court to protect your rights you probably want a lawyer. Most of the big law firms are enrolled in the Stonewall Equality Index.

So is the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Victim Support.

The first solicitors firm I had dropped me as a client two days before my crowd funding campaign was due to launch.

They boasted at a meeting to promote the Stonewall Index that they vet clients for transphobia.

You might look to human rights organisations to champion your rights to freedom of speech and belief.

Think again. They don't think your rights matter.

You might look to your union to help.

Good luck with that.

You can crowdfund, and it turns out that lots and lots of people will support you, because they see the injustice.

Crowdjustice signed off on Allison Bailey's crowdfund page but then when people complained they stopped donations and removed her text

When you get to court the judge will be using the "Equal Treatment Bench Book" for guidance.

It conflates sex and gender, tells the judge to call you "cis" and fails to highlight conflicts between transgender and women’s rights.

The judge you see may well have been trained by Gendered Intelligence

The Judicial College have so far refused to release any information about the content of this training through FOI

As a result of the ETBB and the training the judge may compel you to say things you do not believe.

Maria Maclachlan was forced to describe her assailant as female even though her experience was of being assaulted by a man.

Or, as in the case of my judgement suggest that you talk about yourself as someone "assigned female at birth" rather being able to be clear that women are female, and men are not.
If you win, educational journals like @HodderSchools may ask Mermaids to edit the coverage of the judgment if they find it offensive rather than publish a clear summary of what the judge said.

It is hard to anything written in serious legal journals on the conflict between women's rights and gender self ID.

This by @AlessandraAster and @RebeccaMKBull is excellent.

Few academic colleagues or legal commentators would retweet it

Women who want to talk about how the law affects women's rights have faced threats and attacks, no platforming and bullying and discrimination at work

@DavidIsaacUK1 says the problem is we are not doing enough "respectful listening"
