Located in the Rahim Yar Khan disrtict , it is a fortified haveli (mansion) with a central courtyard.
Bajla Fort
It was constructed by Ali Murad Pirjani in 1767 although little of it survives today.
Bijnot Fort
The rectangular shaped fort is in a remarkable condition despite seeing battles between the Talpurs and Panwars and later in 1971 war.
It is also called Winjhrot.
Derawar Fort
Probably the most famous of all forts in Bahawalpur. Originally constructed in the 9th Century by Rai Raja Bhutta, it was initially called Dera Rawal which later evolved into Derawar.
In the 18th Century it was conquered by the Nawabs of Bahawalpur.
The fort was then rebuilt in 1732 by Nawab Sadeq Muhammad.
The fort features 42 huge bastions which are its most prominent feature.

Fazilpur Fort
Located in District Rahim Yar Khan. Only one prominent bastion stands.
Islamgarh Fort
It was constructed in in 1665 by Raja Rawal Siri Bheem Singh and later conquered by Ikhtiyar Khan in 1766 who renamed it as Islamgarh from the original Bhimgarh.
It was occupied until 1971 when the locals left it due to its proximity to the border.
Jamgarh Fort

Khairgarh Fort
Built by Ikhtiayar Khan in 1775. Only the gate is in good condition.

It has a unique hexagonal shape, including a perimeter wall which is in poor condition. It was built by Nawab Muhammad Bahawal Khan II in 1783.
Presumably destroyed by floods in 1804, it had been built by Sabzal Khan in 1780. The eastern and southern walls exist as well as some of its bastions.
