Biden in 2011: Payroll tax cut does not hurt Social Security gop.com/biden-in-2011-…
Democrats continue to obstruct coronavirus relief, even opposing a clean extension of enhanced unemployment benefits during the negotiation process, but President Trump is making sure money is going back into the pockets of hardworking Americans.
Democrats are attacking him for suspending the payroll tax, but they used to sing a VERY different tune:

Chuck Schumer, ever the hypocrite, said in 2011 that if you were stalling a payroll tax cut, you were “putting politics before recovery.”
Nancy Pelosi called a payroll tax cut a “victory for all Americans.”
Joe Biden, who personally negotiated Obama’s payroll tax cut legislation, repeatedly extoled the benefits of a payroll tax cut, writing in a 2011 op-ed that it was “just plain wrong” that it would threaten Social Security.
And speaking of a “war on Social Security,” Joe Biden has been leading the charge to cut those benefits for years.

President Trump on the other hand has made it abundantly clear that he will always protect Social Security.
Bottom Line: Once again, Trump Derangement Syndrome is on full display as the Democrats, including Vice President Joe Biden show yet again that they will shamelessly oppose anything President Trump proposes, even if they supported the action in the past.
