Palmer responds to Premier’s declaration of war

Today I responded to the declaration of war made against me by Premier Mark McGowan.

“The power to declare war as the Premier knows does not vest with a State Government or indeed the Premier of Western Australia.
“It's disturbing that the Premier believes he can declare war on a citizen because a citizen has sought a judicial determination before the High Court of Aust.

“It is a serious contempt of the High Court of Aust. to seek to intimidate a person to undermine the judicial process.”
All citizens, regardless of the issue, had the right to access the courts in Australia.

“These undeniable rights are set out in the Australian Constitution and declaration of human rights by the United Nations,’’
“Declarations of war, declaring citizens Enemies of the State, are all actions normally taken by dictatorships who have no regard for the rule of law.

“The WA Govt has made an application before the Federal Court of Australia and those and other matters are before the court.
“The parties to the proceedings must await the outcome of the court’s deliberation in silence. I will not be making any further comment until a judgement is issued by the Federal Court in respect of Western Australia’s application,’’
“The High Court of Australia has determined that proceedings ultimately must be decided by the full bench of seven judges of the High Court which has arranged for this matter to be heard on an expedited basis.

“All Australians need to respect the High Court’s decision.
“Personally I don’t wish the Premier any ill will. It is not appropriate at this time while matters are before the courts to properly respond to some of the Premier’s statements other than to say they are not true and have misrepresented my position,’’
