President of Moderna Testimony, July 21, 2020:

Understand the science & you can understand the risk. mRNA sends code as instructions to your own DNA. If they can create coded info that your own cells replicate, imagine what else can be done by editing certain codes.

Moderna has raised over $5 bil in funding thus far. $58 million in grant funding from DARPA, and in April, BARDA committed to fund up to $483 million.

mRNA-1273 is Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine candidate. They've been working with NIAID since January. Anthony Fauci has been Director of NIAID since 1984.

Moderna has been developing mRNA vaccines since 2015 w/SARS & MERS. Using that research, they simply picked up with new codes for the vaccine that target the nucleus of the cells, claim to have produced over 100 batches of mRNA since 2018 in human clinical trials.

By isolating the Spike protein of the cell, they can enter new instructions into the cells that instead of replicating the virus, are supposed to give the immune system instruction to fight the virus.

With the ability to cut and paste code (instructions), where does this end?

How the trials have gone thus far- as of July 21, 2020:

BARDA's $483 mil grant to ramp up development and manufacturing, $1.3 bil from shareholders.

Swiss-based manufacturer Lonza Ltd. has ability to make over 500 mil doses worldwide annually.
