One weird aspect of being on the left -- and I know it's 100X worse for women -- is constantly being told you're being "emotional" or "emotion-driven" by people who are gripped by spittle-flecked fury 100% of the time. Do these folks not think anger is an emotion?
I'm just asking for rhetorical effect, of course. We know the answer: when cons talk about "emotion," it's code for emotions coded as *feminine* -- empathy, compassion, care & nurture, etc. It's just their terror/resentment toward women expressed in yet another form.
"I'm rational you're emotional" just means "I was never taught to identify or deal with my emotions like an adult, so I just channel everything into resentment & rage & condemn anything else as weakness."
When you've transcended emotion & reached the plane of Pure Reason.
