The Summarizer’s Fallacy: Summarizing feels good, but summarizers don’t make progress.
Progressive Summarization:
- creates a false sense of achievement
- encourages regurgitative thinking
- doesn’t build a dynamic digital library
It's not a popular opinion and I'm sure I'll hear about it, but it needs to be said, because it can actually harm a "knowledge worker's" most unique asset: their own thinking
