UPDATE: Today, The Lagos State Govt had a meeting with the E-Hailing Ride Stakeholders which was chaired by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu at the Lagos House, Marina .. The Following resolutions were made which was agreed by ALL Parties:
@Boltapp_ng @UberNigeria
1. There Must be comprehensive insurance cover which will cover drivers and passengers.
2. A REDUCTION of 20% on the Operational Licensing Fees.
3. A FLAT Fee of N20 to be known as Road Improvement Fund which will be levied on each ride/trip.
4. A 90-Day Compliance with documentation for the drivers - There will be a one-stop shop for all the documentation (especially LASSRA Card- Lagos State Resident Registration Agency.
5. E- Hailing companies to work with various bodies in the business for a good relationship.
6. There MUST be due diligence and background checks on all drivers.
7. Riders should desist from offline trips and transactions.
8. E-Hailing Firms must make necessary data available to the Govt.
CLARIFICATION: The idea of E-Hailing companies using a car of “3 years” and below is FAKE NEWS .. It is for what we call ‘Corporate Cabs’ ... This has nothing to do with the E Hailing business.
@Techpointdotng @UberNigeria @Boltapp_ng @aproko_doctor
Will it affect Drivers/Customers: Commisioner of Transport, @dr_oladeinde says the Regulation is for the Operators and Govt will ensure that it does not affect the customers.

@gbenga_omo @gboyegaakosile
CLARIFICATION: On the issue of Data sharing with Govt, @dr_oladeinde says that the data required is encrypted & it’s just the point-to-point data not people’s personalinfo .. This will help Govt clear up issues around congestion & also calculation for the charge paid to Govt.
Commissioner For Transport says that the documentation of drivers is for the SAFETY of Lagosians using the E Hailing business, so that the State can easily track drivers in case of emergency and other security and safety issues.
Finally ... Commissioner of Information, Mr @gbenga_omo says that the purpose of all this is mainly for Security, Service and a level playing field for businesses to thrive.
Oh .. One more thing .. The representatives of the E hailing Business in attendance and in agreement:
1. Ezekiel Ojo - @BmpCar
2. Abisola Odukoya - @Boltapp_ng
3. Tola Odeyemi - @UberNigeria
4. Comrade Idris Shonuga Oluwaseun representing the E Hailing Drivers
