I should mention that many arboreal tarantulas jump like this. I would love to see a slow-motion tarantula jump! How do they distribute their body weight when landing?

Here's a video of the mini tarantula Typhochlaena seladonia walking normally. This spider almost never goes outside of its home. This morning it was collecting material to reinforce its trapdoor construction, so I took advantage of it.

Here's a photo of the the mini tarantula (Typhochlaena seladonia) from the same morning session so you can appreciate the colors better.
