It’s not up to democracy advocates to disprove the claims of liars like Mark Meadows. If you make an accusation you need to provide some evidence. But as hard as negative is to come up with, we actually have proved it. We’ve been wrangling this scam for 20 years.

3/ in one of two ways. The elected comes forward and admits he found nothing and eats crow or comes forward with two or three examples of individuals who may have voted illegally over a 20 year period in an entire state. They all come up short. Only ‘short’ overstates it.
4/ Thry always come up with nothing. The standard line is that there’s no evidence of ‘widespread voter fraud.’ It’s more than that. Organized voter fraud is actually very rare in the US. If you understand the modern history of voting you know why that is.
5/ The entire vote fraud storyline and movement is one simple thing. For a couple decades Republicans have been increasingly worried they can’t reliably win elections and they’ve worked very hard to create restrictions and limitations on voting to keep predominantly Democratic...
6/ groups from voting. It’s that simple. There’s no nuance. I’ve probably followed this issue as a reporter as close as anyone in the business. It’s 100% about making it hard for minorities, the poor, the young to vote. And close to the entire GOP has bought in.
