Here's a copy of Facebook Ankhi Das' complaint to Delhi Police which she's selectively shared only with BJP's OpIndia.

While naming the accused who threatened her, she's also added my tweet to the complaint as "being defamatory". 🤦‍♀️

BJP is scared & now trying all tactics.
Y'day, ABVP & RSS-linked WOSY tried to attack me.

Now Ankhi Das is attempting to do the same.

"Defamation" isn't a cognizable offense.

I continue to face death threats (thanks to Facebook which never took down my doxxed number).

Shall I add Ankhi Das in my complaint now?

Facebook India & its lies about "illegal hate speech policy" in India:

According to FB's own data, from Jan-Jun 2019, ONLY 19 pages & 2 profiles were taken down.

On Insta, ONLY 17 accounts & ZERO media posts were taken down.

This period included the Lok Sabha Elections.

Between Jul-Dec 2019, only 11 profiles & 79 pages were removed while the total number of removed posts is 691.

Note: most of these posts were about Kashmiri rights.

On Insta, ONLY 5 accounts were taken down.

FB has 346 million users in India & Insta has 100 million.

FB also takes down content that violates laws when there's a request from govt.

While we've regularly seen accounts of activists being withheld, there's been NO reporting by Modi govt on communal hate speech & sexual assault threats.

This is what Ankhi Das did for BJP

Mystery of Facebook India & Election Commission:

There were a bunch of mysterious happening in 2018 & 2019 pertaining to Facebook India & the Election Commission.

These raise concerns on the integrity of elections itself & on Facebook India's interference in polls.

In June 2017, the Election Commission began a partnership with Facebook India for a voter awareness campaign.

This partnership was launched by Facebook India's Ankhi Das together with then-Chief Election Commissioner Dr.Nasim Zaidi.

Things then got dodgy in a year.

A year later, on 23rd March 2018, then-Chief Election Commissioner O.P. Rawat announced that the ECI was reviewing its partnership with Facebook India over concerns of data breaches which could affect free & fair elections.

And then there was a sudden twist.

Facebook's "partnership" carrot:

While FB's Ankhi Das & the public policy team closely work with the BJP & endorse hate speech, the platform has a unique way of trying to prevent any criticism against it even by independent voices.

It's called the "partner" model.

FB approaches independent voices & invites them to "partner" with them in "solving problems like hate speech & fake news." It seems so honest that most well-meaning people participate & give suggestions.

They sent me a similar "invite" a few months ago through someone.

I thankfully didn't take it up.

What this tactic actually does it to try & make independent voices feel like they're involved in FB's decision making process.

This also ensures that any criticism happens on internal channels & doesn't come out in the public.
