Regarding the Sancho-saga. United and BVB had a verbal agreement over the total fee and ALL the installments. After reaching an agreement with BVB Woodward spoke with OGS. He wanted 3 new players to challenge in the top.

United went back to BVB trying to lower the first installment to have enough budget to secure an additional two players. BVB started to get frustrated and set a deadline for the deal. They was and are still firm on the first agreed fee (€70M 2020, €30M 2021 and €20M 2022).
The deadline has past and BVB claims to be holding on to Sancho. United believes this is a tactic to get the full amount. United now know that they wont get Sancho without paying full. They are now working with other targets to see how they can structure the deals.
United have no problem with paying larger amounts, but they want the first installments to be low to manage to secure all targets this window. The problem is that they are met with struggling clubs that want one installment or a high first installment.
Sancho remains United biggest target and believes BVB will accept a bid for the full amount when the official bid comes. Sancho will also speak with BVB and ask to leave when the offical bid comes.
They are in contact with Ajax to enquire about what installments they would be willing to accept for VDB. Barcelona is also interested, but also need a structured deal. They will sit down with Koeman in the coming days to map out a transfer strategy for this window.
Since United will make several enquiries in the coming week (Pau Torres also among them), there will be lot of information out there. Unlikey that bids will come until they know how to structure all deals. United will be really busy in the coming weeks! Will update as I know more
