The Democratic primary electorate looks a lot smarter tonight
Rationale was always straightforward, and it was the theme all week: he's a good man, who's had some tough knocks and he can win the general election.
Key difference between Rs and Ds is that Ds have a pragmatic party base focused on electability: black voters.

Keep thinking of two SC Dems who distilled this cycle...
First, Ron Ravenell, who, over shrimp last June in McClellanville, SC, told me he wanted a Biden-Harris ticket bc Trump's election after 8 years of a black president proved that the country wasn't as ready for change as people assumed....
Second, Chris Richardson,who told @AsteadWesley --

“Black voters know white voters better than white voters know themselves."

“So yeah, we’ll back Biden, because we know who white America will vote for in the general election in a way they may not tell a pollster or the media"
