So Urdu Point did an about 20 minutes interview with PTCB MD Rai Manzoor Nasir and uncovered the reason for which 100 books were banned. Yes the mistakes are not just mistakes but blunders and am sharing a thread of badly-written text books in Punjab.
1. Pakistan has 5 provinces

Another page of Pak Studies says Pakistan's population is 192 million or 9 crore in Urdu. It also says it is as per 1998 census. Means this book was written before 2017 when the last census was carried out

Another page of Pak Studies which says Pak's population is 7 crore as per 1998 census.

Another book says Sir Syed Ahamd Khan joined EAST India Company in 1938 as a clerk though he died in 1898

Another English story book and the paragraph is written below.

Another book of Islamiyat states ABU sufyan converted to Islam for some position

Another wrong translation of a Quranic verse and wrong printing of Arabic text that changes meanings altogether.

Another wrongly put translation of Surah Fatiha the first Surah of Quran.

Now instead of fixing the issues, Nasir has been removed from his position after criticism on social media. Out of 10,000 books being taught in schools in punjab only 100 were shortlisted as a sample and these were the mistakes and blunders. Imagine the mistakes in other books.
