Given that Debbins appears to be a "true believer" in the cause of Russian nationalism, his public commentaries on security matters offer a unique pool of data against which to evaluate his thinking and actions.
So far, I've found 6 pieces of such content related to Debbins - between 2015 and 2020. The first is a 2015 opinion piece advocating for the US stop trying to "Westernize" Ukraine and instead attempt "to foster an ethnic Russian civil society" there. (1/x)…
Second, from 2017, is Debbins' appearance on a security podcast. He offers insight into his ethnic Russian family and presents a (retrospectively) sympathetic account of Russia's strategic perspective. -10 points for parroting "Gerasimov Doctrine" BS (2/x)…
Third, from later in 2017, is an appearance by Debbins on the conservative think tank circuit where he's described as "NATO & EUCOM Regional Joint Intelligence Russian Affairs specialist Royal Air Force UK". Some big names at that event. (3/x)…
Fourth is an interview with Debbins by the Institute for World Politics (of which I am admittedly not a fan) in 2018. More insight here into his family, his private sector career, and his thoughts on NATO. (4/x)…
Fifth, in March 2020, Debbins gave a talk at IWP apparently alluded to by @JennaMC_Laugh above. It includes his contemporary take on Russian strategic culture: "a messianic nation" using hybrid warfare, but unfairly treated as a scapegoat in the US. (5/x)…
Sixth and finally, Debbins was apparent scheduled to teach a seminar on "Cyber Critical Infrastructure" for IWP in October 2020. This appears to have been meant to be about building cybersecurity programs rather than addressing CIKR-related issues. (6/x)…
Across these, I think there is some real meat on the bone for a *heavily qualified* and *inherently limited* but *still valuable* analysis of Debbins' perspective on the country he was indicted for spying on behalf of, and thus potentially his associated state of mind. (7/7)
Another one: In Feb. 2020, Debbins apparently gave a talk at IWP titled "Influencing a Wired World with Cyber Intelligence". The full content is not available, but it seems to have been focused on how data gleaned from cyber activity feeds influence ops.…
Another one: On LinkedIn, Debbins described presenting at the University of Cambridge's Intelligence Seminar series in what seems to have been early 2019. The topic was "Putin’s Russia: Worldview, Grand Strategy and Cyberspace".…
Thanks to @JerwayneC - at least 3 of Debbins' appearances at IWP are on YouTube, including a 2016 talk on Nagorno Karabagh. I have not watched any of these yet.

I've just tried to watch a few minutes of Debbins' "Russian Worldview, Grand Strategy and Cyberspace" and oh boy....he attributes the Dragonfly targeted intrusion campaign targeting CIKR circa 2014 to *Iran* false-flagging as Russia.
For the record - the Dragonfly campaigns were absolutely Russian, and the later iterations were actually linked to Russia by the US Government:……
I've spent a lot of time on this activity and am confident in USG's attribution.
