Nawabi Elitism!

His great great grandfather Jan Fishan Khan was an Afghan Mercenary. In 1857, he fought along with British against the forces of Jhansi Lakshmi Bai.

For his service, British granted him land in India & a pension of 1,000 rs.

That is how they became Nawabs!
In February 1857, 3 months before before the war of 1857 against British even started, Jan Fishan Khan leaked information to the British that he received rumors of a rebellion.

His troops fought at Meerut, Delhi & Jhansi. He was made Nawab of Sardhana for his services to British
After he was granted a land and made a nawab, he brought his family from Afghanistan to Sardana(India).

He was made Nawab of Sardhana for siding with British & fighting against rebel Indian soldiers in the in 1857-58!
