I didn't believe it can happen this year but I'm glad it does: the 2020 Tour de France starts this Saturday! So I guess it's time to check the teams we'll see pedalling through France for the next 3 weeks. Incredible level alert! 🚨 #TDF2020
Total Direct Energie. Their best hope for a stage victory is the only non-French rider in the team, Niccolo Bonifazio. 😬 It sounds very unlikely to happen but Niccolo finished 3rd last year on Champs-Élysées and did some great sprints this year... #TDF2020 
B&B Hotels-Vital Concept. They finally made it, this is their Tour de France debut! The team is built of course, around Bryan Coquard and Le Coq showed some great legs at the French Nats. He will be up there in the sprints but to win...difficult. (via @ProCyclingStats ) #tdf2020
Ag2r La Mondiale. Last Tour for Bardet and Latour in brown bibs. Romain will try to go for GC again but I feel they will both end up chasing stage wins. And with Cosnefroy and Oli Naesen doing the same, this would be a brilliant team of attackers! #TDF2020
NTT Pro Cycling. Uncle Bjarne is back in town! But this time, his team is chasing stage victories, not the GC win. My bet is that they will succeed. Nizzolo will win his first Grand Tour stage and he will be a strong contender for the Green Jersey. Flying right now! #TDF2020
CCC. Van Avermaet, Trentin, De Marchi, Geschke, Zaka...Such a fine team of stage hunters, love it! Many guys still chase also a contract so I expect some good things. Teamwork might be a problem though, everyone will ride for himself here I think... #TDF2020
Team Sunweb. Yep, no Michael Matthews. Why? Who knows, maybe we'll find out in a book, ten years from now. Another team which targets stage wins: Bol in the sprints, Benoot & SK Andersen in the breakaways. Doable if same form as in Paris-Nice! (via @ProCyclingStats ) #TDF2020
Cofidis. This looks like their best shot for a TdF stage victory after 12 years! Guillaume Martin and Jesus Herrada in the mountains & Elia Viviani (not the Quickstep version) in the sprints. Guillaume seems also strong enough to finish top 10 overall. Allez! #TDF2020
Lotto Soudal. Quite difficult to repeat last year's performance (4 stage wins) but not impossible. Caleb Ewan, the team leader should be again one of the fastest in the sprints while De Gendt & Phil can succeed in a breakaway. Solid! (Via @ProCyclingStats ) #TDF2020
Mitchelton-Scott. Another super strong team without GC ambitions, gunning for stage victories. Adam Yates seems like a safe bet and maybe he will fight for the KOM jersey too. Nieve, Chavito and Impey are all riders able to win a stage also. Gotta love freedom! #TDF2020
Israel Start-Up Nation. Who else is excited to see Greipel, Hofstetter, Politt and Van Asbroeck sprinting against each other for a top 10? 😍😅 I doubt that Dan has fully recovered after injury so I hope Hermans & Neilands can do something in the mountains. #TDF2020
Arkea-Samsic. Two co-leaders and not the greatest support. 😬 Quintana and Barguil target the top 10 GC, a stage win and possibly the KOM too. After Nairo's training accident in Colombia, this is the maximum Arkea can hope for. #tdf2020
Trek-Segafredo. Going for GC with Porte and Mollema. I trust more Bauke but the top 5 is not looking likely for either of them. Personally I just want to see Trek going in a sprint for Mads like in Poland and Kenny free in a mountain breakaway! #tdf2020
Bora-Hansgrohe. They're still licking their wounds, poor guys. Buchmann could have fought for the podium again but after the Dauphine crash, the team must chase stage wins instead. Sagan seems less strong than usual so the battle for Green is more open. #TDF2020
Movistar. Can't sugarcoat it, they really sucked ass this year. Can they bounce back and win the mythical best team prize? 🤔 Unless they magically peaked for TdF, Valverde and Mas can only target a stage victory. Crazy how things change! #TDF2020
UAE-Team Emirates. Tadej Pogacar's first Tour, so exciting! 😍 The team doesn't want to put pressure on him (that's why Kristoff is here and he has a few helpers). But I'm sure that even if he's only 21, Pogi is already a contender for the final podium in Paris. #TDF2020
Astana. Beware of Vino, always! Miguel Angel Lopez is more unstable than plutonium but he has a lot of watts and can attack the podium. He will also have great support in the mountains from Tejada and Lutsenko (Luts will win a stage here). #TDF2020
Deceuninck-Quickstep. Definitely not a team made to target the GC. Everyone is here to help Sam Bennett win those bunch sprints. Alaphilippe will do his magic on his own: Yellow Jersey in the first week, multiple stage wins, maybe KOM...But not top 5 GC this time. #TDF2020
EF Pro Cycling. My dark horses for this Tour, I feel that they planned something big. Bold: one of Rigoberto Uran, Dani Martinez or Sergio Higuita will fight for the final podium and the KOM jersey. The Colombian trio will light up the race, vamos! #TDF2020
The most important thing for them is to stay on their bikes for 3 weeks because unfortunately, the riders of this team crash a lot. 😬
