I believe the dictum using Gemstones for strengthening the Functional Benefics in Charts even if they are weakly disposed which is the theory of Anukula Vad. My belief is strengthening Functional Malefics/Debilitated planets & Dushtana Lords with Stones amplifies malefic results.
Thus preferring Anukula Vad over Pratikula Vad where in Stones are recommended to nullify malefic effect of planets in Debilitation or functional malefics. I believe Functional Malefics & Debilitation be remedied with Astral Remedies & not Gem Therapy.
I must state it Gemstones are no magic solution to issues as many profess however our bodies have all chemicals & minerals inside the balance of which creates energy shields i.e. Auras and imbalance creates diseases. Stones, Semi Precious stones & crystals are used in healing.
In Chakra Healing, Pranic Healing & even Reiki crystals are used to emit energy on particular chakras in Body to remove congestion and restore the healthy energy for proper functioning of Chakras. GemStones attract and assimilate energy into our Aura and dats how it heals.
Gemstones find mention in classics as well as Tantra Sara where uses of Gemstones, Crystals as mode of energy healing as part of Ayurveda is mentioned. Thus they should not be used or recommended loosely on principle of Kendras or Trikonas or Malefics etc.
For a Gemstone recommendation one must disposition of Planet in Chart, character, bhav placement & sign to identify its strength & weaknesses and work on it. A wrong recommendation of Gemstones or Crystals brings wrong energy and can cause imbalance in body leading to problems.
Usually i never prescribed stones in my Astro recommendation, it is better to do some dan punya, feeding the animals, plants & even respecting nature while chanting mantras, prayers & hyms to reduce effect of malefic planets, debilitation & dusthana lords. Dats my take. END
