Oh stop it. You can understand what drives such hatred and still laugh at the absurdity of it all. There is no requirement to sympathize with a movement simply because it's popular. Hate has always been popular.
Always this pretense that this is some novel and hard to understand movement, or a movement that deserves respect, as if this isn't the United States. These people take you from hurting others and their leader has done it on a grand scale. The least you can do is laugh at them.
He's stupid, cruel, and pitiful. And his supporters hold on to hatred and violence because they know the only thing they have is an abstract belief in a supposed superiority. All the power and they use it to hurt others. The more they lash out, the more pathetic it all is.
I hope we never forget everyone who supported him and his administration. Because eventually they will try to distance themselves. And no one should forget how they chose and backed evil because it gave them the power to hurt the vulnerable people they saw as enemies.
"How little you understand," what an insult. Who understands them better than the people who are victims of their hatred? It's all these naive journalists who choose to believe that bigotry just can't be the root of this movement, who don't seem to understand a thing. Grow up.
