Progressives tonight are doing a spectacular job showing that they only respect minorities when those minorities fall into line behind White Elites and believe exactly what they want them to believe.
Nobody...and I mean nobody...gets attacked faster and with more vitriol than a minority politician that doesn't support Democrats.
Another white progressive basically calling Black Republicans Uncle Toms.

Again, this is apparently ok for the Left. They are fine with this.

I read this a second time last night, and I got even angrier.

The evidence that the Japanese would have surrendered in August is slim to none, even in retrospect, and even with evidence that Truman et al didn't have at that time.
For example: After Hiroshima, the Japanese military leaders didn't believe it was truly Atomic in nature. So on Aug 7, they sent experts, including a radiation expert, to judge. The report told them it was Atomic.

And when the high command heard, this....they didn't surrender.
That said, a MAJOR variable at that point was the Soviet invasion of Manchuria. The Soviets were pummeling the Japanese, and the high command did fear being taken over by the Soviets rather than the Americans.

I'm obviously a partisan, I voted against Obama, etc, etc...

But that was the most dishonest, hyperpartisan and embarrassing speech of Obama's life.

We are in a VERY bad place in this country. And I have no optimism neither one of these clown parties will make it better.
And Democrats, I am sure, will not even seen how bad this speech was.

It was Paul Wellstone bad. Oh, it won't have that impact (that backfired on Dems) but it was bad.

But since Obama is still better than Trump (the lowest of low bars) they'll write it off.
Watching them eulogize an American hero (and yes, Lewis is certainly that) and then using it for short term politics...

...I am as depressed as I've been in a while.
