To make it perfectly clear: yes, the Democrats can stop the riots, and now that their poll numbers are cratering, they probably will. Just for starters, Democrat mayors and governors actively helped this situation get out of hand by deliberately refusing to do their duties.
None of this deadly, destructive insanity couldn't have happened without subversive Democrat officials stepping back and standing down. For God's sake, we've watched most of them block rioters from entering their own personal neighborhoods or protesting outside their houses.
Democrat officials worked very hard to put their constituents' lives in danger and get their property destroyed. Mere incompetence couldn't produce this much bloodshed and devastation. It was a choice, an agenda, a decision they made on purpose for political gain.
But even beyond taking immediate action against the street thugs, Democrats have enormous power over these "activist" organizations. They keep the links quiet for the most part, but they can obviously shut down funding and turn off the indulgent media coverage.
Democrat politicians have people who can get in touch with the leaders of even the most seemingly unruly activist mob and let them know they don't have a future unless they toe the line. A lot of it boils down to money, and Democrats control the piggy banks of left-wing activism.
The Dems let things go much too far to shut the violence down instantly and completely, but they can start pumping the brakes by shutting down "community activism." No more efforts to rile up the mob, no more organization and political support, no more gas poured on the flames.
It will all have a certain train-wreck flavor if the Dems try to shut this garbage down fast because it's hurting their poll numbers today. I guarantee you if they get creamed in November, the oxygen for all of this Marxist radicalism will be turned off. /end
