Good morning everyone! My name is Heather and I am really excited to join you all on this page today! I am primary going to focus on Google AdWords - how to get started and get qualified, product management and marketing - what it is and how to break in. Lets get started!
So GoogleAdWords is how Google basically makes money through advertising. It's a billion dollar product and it can never be saturated, thats because as the internet grows, so does the number of services and users.
A Google AdWords professional is certified to run online campaigns using diffferent Google campaigns.These are Search, the most common one, Display - everytime you see a banner, YouTube ads - when a video plays before your song on YouTube

Google Analytics - a really tough certification. It helps you understand what people are doing on your website. Google Apps qualifies you to run effective marketing campaigns that increase app installs and drive engagement.
Google Shopping Ads enable you to present your products everytime someone searches "red heels for salein Harare" for example. You learn how to optimise and compete to be top of page so you can meet your customer in their moment of need.
Think of it this way - you search for something you want - an advertiser has already primed their content so they can present it to you 4 sale digitally. Google doesn't track ur IP - instead it uses interests, age, gender, location and other non invasive metrics to connect you.
I always advocate for people who want to create their own income and work anywhere to try Google AdWords. Thats because PPC Specialists, Paid Search, Paid Managers as they are known are always in demand. Its very easy to get started although the course can be a bit technical
All courses can be found at the link below. I HIGHLY advise you to start with Fundamentals ( Search) because it gives you the basic understanding of how Google and the advertising business work together. Thereafter you can move to Video, Display, Shopping skillshop.withgoogle.com
In order to succeed as an AdWords professional,you need to be diligent - campaigns need a system that you religiously follow every week. You need to have a good sense of design - beauty trumps form (everytime). U also need to be a good copywriter (although this can be outsourced)
You can find work as a PPC Specialist on sites like optimate.co , Freelancer, Upwork and Digital marketing job boards worldwide.Now after this huge info dump, before I move to the next topic - let the questions begin
