Thread: The psychology of attacking *A* Messenger
There is a message and there is a Messenger between the two is a strong mutual relationship.
A Messenger that is tasked with the responsibility of relating a Message especially a pristine one is expected to live by the standards of the message he is relating.
No messenger in human history has ever delivered the Message of God without having antagonists and rejectionists who will stop at nothing to cast aspersions on the legitimacy of the message he comes with.
The psychology of those opposed to the Message of truth is often shaped and epitomized by their obsession with coordinated campaign of character assassination against the Messenger.
Thus, if we can't deny the facts contained in the Message, then let us defame the Messenger and by that we will succeed in swaying the tide of public opinion against him. This will form a barrier between the public and the Message.
Allaah summarizes this tactics of the antagonists in Qur'an 51:52

"Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them, but they said: "A sorcerer or a madman!"
Once they label you as a madman what legitimacy will people see in your message. But they failed in their campaign even before they started.
Allaah says: "He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam), that He may make it (Islam) superior over all religions. And All-Sufficient is Allah as a Witness." Qur'an 48:28
The Shiites employ same tactics. Every sane Muslim knows that the primary source of a Muslims way of life is Qur'an and Sunnah. You take away the Sunnah that explains and puts the Qur'an into practice, you take away Islam from the Muslims.
They attack Abu Hurayrah (the highest narrator of hadith), they attack Aisha (RA) - The fourth highest narrator, they attack ibn Umar (RA), they attack, Anas, Ibn Abbas (RA).... Now what is left of hadith? NOTHING. Hence, they take away Islam from you.
