Good Morning Fitzroy!
Fitzroy railway station was on a branch of the Inner Circle line. The line ran through Edinburgh gardens east of the footy ground. Open 1888, poor patronage led to its closure
for passenger services May 1892. Goods open until 1981.

Inner Circle open 8 May 1888 with 3 stations: North Carlton and North Fitzroy on the main line, and Fitzroy at the end of a short branch. Electrification of the line between Royal Park and Clifton Hill stations done 1921. Fitzroy branch never sparked.

Good morning Serviceton!
The Adelaide-Wolseley line was extended from Bordertown in South Australia on 19 January 1887 coinciding with the opening of the line from Dimboola in Victoria. The was some dispute re the naming the border station but Serviceton prevailed. Image
The impressive station building was completed in 1889. 15 large rooms and a refreshment facility.

D class 4-4-0 324 was built Phoenix Ballarat 1888.

For a short period (1884-1898) Serviceton was dual gauge, 5' 3" and 3' 6". SAR extended both gauges to Serviceton from Wolesley.
Red = 5' 3"
Purple = dual gauge 5' 3" and 3' 6"
Blue = 3' 6"

Noojee trestle bridge built 1919, in 1939 was completely burnt down and rebuilt in the same year. Bridge spans 102 meters and is 21 meters high.
