NOTE: The words “cerebral event” are NOT in the NYT review. That doesn’t make it less egregious that he withheld it but there’s no need to shape that sin to fit a narrative either.
Actual words: "Describing Trump’s unexpected November 2019 visit to Walter Reed, he reports the White House wanted Mike Pence “on standby to take over the powers of the presidency temporarily if Trump had to undergo a procedure that would have required him to be anesthetized.”
That is all that was said. Shame on people for adding to it. It’s bad enough as it is.
