Fact: This Buddhist IDOL is NOT from Ayodhya.

This is the famous Perambalur Buddha found in Salem district, Tamil Nadu.

It continues into historical & medieval age. Check "Gautamiputra" Satakarni. Or the Gupta king "Jayaswaminiputra" Jayanatha (c.500 CE).

There is nothing special about the appellation of Daityas after Diti. Arjuna was called Kaunteya. Karna called Radheya. Hanuman called Anjanya. Bhishma called Gangeya. Lakshmana called Saumitri. Krishna called Devakiputra.
@kazhugan @neha_aks Even in the classical age, Matronyms were quite common owning to the importance given to mother in the Hindu culture.

To use something as tentative as that and make claims about some extraneous origin is bad historiography and complete disregard of available evidence

That is NOT "Bali iconography" & that figure is NOT "Bali figure".

In the artistic convention of early Trivikrama sculptures such as those from Mathura & Badami, Trivikrama DOES NOT trample Bali. He stamps Rahu.

In the sculptures of Mathura and Badami and also in several later day depictions, Vishnu DOES NOT place his foot upon Bali. The laughing face in the sky is Rahu.

You seem to be absolutely clueless about conventions of early Indian art.

Even if you had eyesight,you will see that even caption names it as "temple' & not "neolithic settlement.
