Why Yu Mingye is my comfort character - a short thread

Because Dance of the Phoenix is over, and it's Wang Haoxuan's birthday. :D

1, and I want to get this over with... have you seen him? O.O

2. He's the best fighter in the continent, because he managed to hold his own in battle against Jun Linyuan, who was hailed as the best cultivator, plus Xuan Yi and Feng Xun, who I presume were only next to Mingye and Jun dianxia in rank.

Yes, he had done bad things. Given his environment growing up, all manner of "weakness" should have been purged from him (he had to kill the his only friend when he was young to please his father)...yet he was capable of gentleness (even without Feng Wu in the picture.)

What sort of villain would ask beggars for informarion by plying them with bread? He could have just forced it out of them, but no. And his "torture" of Old Man Ba? Come on.

Also, for somebody with his skills, he could be so adorably dense. XD

Ok... With Feng Wu. The woman fooled him more than once, but he didn't take revenge on her for doing so.

He formed some sort of attachment to Xiaowu because he thought the woman was a victim of Jun Linyuan. Then, he wanted Feng Wu because he thought Jun dianxia wanted her. Then he started falling for her for real. He tried wooing her but was firmly instated in the friendzone.

I mean, look how enamored he was. -.-'

Even so, he was never bitter about the rejection. He stayed around to help her out. He was unwavering in his loyalty to her and, by association, the people she held of value.

The way he taught Feng Wu sneak attacks during the Peerless Tower gambit... the man knew how to fight smart, and I respect that.

Bonus: when he had his men put up a little alfresco tea situation for Feng Wu's mom so she could somehow wait in comfort?
