THREAD - Ten things my kids want you to know about Muslims (verbatim):

1.) Muslims are NOT terrorists. We have nothing to do with terrorists, ISIS or any person that does something bad.

Please don’t say F*** Allah. Because the English translation for Allah is God. And I feel offended when you say that.

2/

Muslims are good people. We’re just like everyone else. We like to play games like Xbox, PlayStation, board games, football, etc. We are human.

3/

Please don’t disrespect our Holy Quran because for us it is just as holy as your Bible, Torah, etc.

4/

We don’t hate any religion. We respect everyone. And we believe God will decide who goes to heaven or to hell. It’s not any human-beings decision.

5/

Not all Muslims are from Saudi Arabia or the Middle East. My parents were born in Pakistan and I was born in America. And their are Muslims in every country and every color. They don’t just have tan skin and black hair.

6/

We were born in America and we love this country just like anyone else. My parents were born in Pakistan but I’ve never even been there.

7/

The people who caused 9/11 have nothing to do with us or my Muslim faith. To me they are not even Muslims because our religion (Islam) teaches us peace.

8/

“Allahu Akbar” does not mean anything violent or have anything to do with blowing anything up. All it means is, God is the greatest. I say it like over 100 times a day.

9/

A lot of people think Islam is very strict like we pray 5 times a day, we read our holy book regularly, we don’t celebrate Halloween or Valentines Day, we don’t do drugs or drink alcohol, etc. We don’t even make girlfriends. But for me that is the best way to live my life. End/
