The underlying question is unchanged: In the 1970s, the Communists claimed that Israel’s particular character and history made it an irredeemably evil country that had to be fundamentally reconstructed to be cleansed of the sin of racism.

Of the course, the UN did eventually repeal “Zionism is racism.” But not until the Soviet Union had collapsed and it’s ideology was discredited.
Yet here we are again, facing another version of Marxism, which has grown strong enough to recycle the same accusation and bring it to bear against America and the UK.
