For the Wachowski sisters, every element you can find in a movie (script, part of directing, music, colors...) is a mean to convey an idea, a worldview.
Thread 🔽
They are expecting the audience to challenge their movie, to question it. They also put lots of effort to make thought-provoking entertainment films.
Jean Baudrillard (french philosopher) who criticized the Wachowskis at the time of The Matrix's release, saying that they did not understand his work "Simulacres et Simulation" was wrong.
The Wachowskis sisters have understood his book perfectly, it's just that they don't agree with Baudrillard’s conclusions.
« you haven't seen matrix, if you haven't seen the point of the trilogy. » @CinemaDurendal
The rest of the analysis of the Matrix trilogy is truly brilliant and made me want to watch it again as I hated the last 2 parts, too young, immature or ignorant at the time to be able to grasp the true meaning of the message of the 2 sisters. 🤦♂️
Their message?
“You must understand yourself and the world around you to be able to fulfill yourself.”
This message seems to be the common denominator of all their work (but I'll let you discover all this with @CinemaDurendal ‘s video ;-)
On my side, I'm going to rewatch a whole Wachowskis cycle 😉
Detailed explanations (in french) here:
It may change your previous thoughts about the Matrix trilogy and the whole career of the Wachowski sisters. 😉

#CQRS is not a general purpose style of architecture.
A thread ⬇️
The first time I built a CQRS system… it was in 2006. The term hadn’t be coined yet by Greg (that happened in 2010), but the practice was ubiquitous in finance with tons of high throughput platforms to build or to maintain.
Actually, the first time I’ve used this architecture style was not due to my young skills of tech architect, but rather on a technical constraint.
