When she was sacked, in October 2016, she was given two hours to pack her things before being put on a flight back to Indonesia.
However, the Liew family never shipped the boxes and opened them instead to check the contents.
They claimed in court that they found their personal items inside.
Parti has always maintained her innocence and says that the items were either:
1) discarded by her employer
2) given to her by the Liews or friends
3) her own belongings.
The Liew family's deployment of Parti to Karl Liew's home could have been reported to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
She spent a total of 3 years and 9 months awaiting her fate at the hands of the SG judicial system.
On 25 March 2019, Parti was sentenced to 26 months in prison.
She appealed the verdict.

Parti has been living in Singapore and unable to work since her arrest on 2 December 2016.
She thanks her supporters and legal team.
"I thought that there was no way I would win and beat these four charges. I thought I would get a year in jail or more."
