Believer - the Bible makes it clear God does not need man’s protection. The mere suggestion is the height of pride (see Job 38 for a refresher of how mighty He is, “Have you commanded the morning since your days began...?)
Isa 66:1-2 “Thus says the Lord, Heaven is my throne & the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, ... All of these things my hand has made ... But this is the one to whom I look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.”
Further, if you’re voting out of fear; you think Trump will protect your religious freedoms...recall Scripture makes clear we look to God alone for our protection. Israel is sent into exile in part because they put their trust in man. See Jer 17:5-8
Jer 17:5-8 “Thus says the LORD: Cursed is the man who trusts in man & makes flesh his strength ... he is like a shrub in the desert...Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water...& is not anxious in the year of drought.”
