SG: please see section 19 of PMLA..this is a petition under article 227 read with section 482 and my attempt is going to be that everyone cannot take recourse to this plea and if this entertained and there will be many such pleas.

Sr Adv Kapil Sibal: i have never been.. it is nothing to do with the land., if they say forcible possession.. it is not even a scheduled offence..

SC: Everybody including person in actual occupation says you are in possession

Sibal : the original one had a lease executed in 2015.. oral statements everyone will say

Sibal: this FIR in April 2023 is for forcible possession since 2009.. but this is prosecution case..

SC: Either we put it in july or during vacations..

Sibal: elections will be over..why should i be prejudiced.. ..We were sent to the high court..

SC: Issue notice, returnable on May 20.

Delhi court charges BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh with sexual harassment of five women wrestlers.

Singh also charged with the offence of outraging modesty of woman.

ACMM Priyanka Rajpoot also charged Singh with the offence of criminal intimidation with respect to two wrestlers.

#SupremeCourt hears the case case concerning demolitions in Akbar Nagar. About 15,000 residents of Akbar Nagar are set to be affected by demolitions planned on the Kukrail riverbank

Justice Sanjiv Khanna: You are getting what encroachers get. You are getting alternate accommodation

Adv: But it is so far

Justice Khanna: This location which you encroached was also earlier far and then it became the centre of city

Adv: State was charging taxes etc as well

Justice Khanna: So, that is for the services provided.. but that does not mean they have given ownership of the land

Adv MR Shamshad: report says it is not a river but a nullah.. but after 40 years of my existence there.. it is declared as a floodplain

Justice Khanna: but it is pending for a long time

Justice Sanjiv Khanna: by March 22,2024, order we had LDA, State of UP to show satellite images of rivulet and catchment areas. the affidavit has been filed enclosing therewith relevant documents regarding the river. it is stated that the nallah originates from a natural spring before entering reserve forest and then flows 19 km and enters urban area of lucknow. reference is made to several district gazettes. the rate of discharge etc has also been mentioned.
