Politics at it's worst: a thread, read and share.👇
Both of my parents said "Beta we are not AndhBhakts, but Modiji Jo Kar rahe Hain desh ke liye hi kar rhe hen. 👇
Hmm!
Typical Bhakt mentality. I didn't really mind that too and I didn't expect much anyway.
From January onwards, I started doing some intense research and fact checking on everything that happened in politics since 2014.👇
In mid January, the Indian residents in Colombo (where I live) were having a CAA-NRC protest in the Indian Embassy. 👇
He got up and started shouting in my face about how Muslims are a plague and they were taking over the damn world. He said that Muslims don't migrate to Muslim countries, instead to other non Muslim countries 👇
👇
I got dragged by the ears, and got smashed on the head with a steel plate that was nearby. I got slapped and hit, I didn't do anything. He said that he's going to disown me if I don't say 👇
All the emotional weight aside, I feel like I've lost it. I've lost the freedom to speak, the freedom of speech, the right to have an opinion.
👇
So much more things happened that I can't describe. I was hit so bad, and insulted to the face because I had a different opinion. 👇
I don't know where else to post this, I feel like I cannot trust anybody anymore, that I've been stripped of basic rights.
Edit: my mom apologised on behalf of my dad and my dad still hasn't spoken, 👇
😥
"this Andhbhakti & Godi Media can divide and emotionally separate everyone from you even your dad from you, your family and say from everyone you view differently."
🙏
Thanks for sharing this.
