Hundreds of protesters are out in Portland tonight for the 100th night of demonstrations. Police have blocked the road. We are already seeing molotov cocktails from protesters and riot-control munitions from police.

Still a crowd of a few hundred out moving through the streets. Police depart the scene here with some tear gas and pepper balls.

I'm back out in the Portland suburbs, where many hundreds are gathering for another pro-Trump caravan. People are still arriving, but I've already seen some Proud Boys, some Qanon proponents, and folks from the Three Percenters militia group.
The group has gathered further away from the city than last weekend's event, and leaders have said they do not plan to go into Portland.

(That said, the last event wasn't slated to go downtown but ended up going there anyway.)
The caravan is starting to move. No counterprotesters on scene.

Prosecutors have released some new details in last weekend's Portland shooting, including some screenshots of new surveillance footage from the seconds before. It first shows Reinoehl and Danielson (behind him) walking along the same sidewalk, apparently not in conflict.
Authorities said Reinoehl looks back toward Danielson. While nobody seems to be bothering him, Danielson appears to already be carrying mace in one hand and an expandable baton in the other. Reinoehl moves into a parking garage and puts his hand around his waistband.
After that, Reinoehl comes out of the parking garage. The shooting occurs seconds later.

Previous video seems to show Danielson lifting to spray mace as you can hear gunshots. Reinoehl said in the VICE interview he was acting in defense of himself and others.

Updates on Michael Reinoehl killing:
• 4 officers reportedly shot at him.
• He was leaving apartment and getting in vehicle.
• Agents on scene said he had a gun, but investigative team hasn't confirmed that.
• Protesters write: “Michael was murdered"

After midnight, I checked in again with one of the investigators overseeing this latest shooting, and they still can't say for sure whether Reinoehl had a gun.

Officers on scene initially said he did. A witness also says he appeared to have one. But no confirmation tonight.
(I deleted an initial version of this tweet that had ambiguous wording on whether officers initially reported that Reinoehl fired shots. So far the investigators have said initial reports was he had a gun)
