A THREAD of the NPFL Club licensing process.

If the clubs are honest with documentation while NFF & LMC investigate their documentation properly & sanction clubs who didn't meet up, the League will witness massive development within 5 years.

Page 1: The Action plan 👇

#NPFL21 Image
The checklist of Legal Criteria and Personnel & Administrative Criteria

No 7: Clubs must not have dual ownership. The case of Enyimba & Abia Warriors and Akwa Utd & Dakkada FC.

Expected Abia W & Dakkada FC will come up with documents of LG ownership, BUT we all know the TRUTH. ImageImage
Financial Criteria & Sporting Criteria:

Clubs must have a financial benchmark of N200 million for the payment of salaries & other operations.

An average NPFL club payout over N10 million on players' salaries every month.

This will solve owing of players salaries in the League. Image
Section D is also very important.

- Clubs must have Youth Development Program.

- Clubs must register Youth Players for the season (I know LMC framework gave room for about 5 Youth players registration).

- Evidence of players contract, very key.

- Players medical reports. Image
Infrastructure Criteria:

Business, Commercial & Promotion Criteria 👇

How many NPFL clubs have a website? 🤣 Image
My opinion:

The documents are available for us to ask questions in the future.

I don't think our clubs will meet up with all the requirements this season, but let's have a plan.

Let's have a target year & work towards achieving the development every season.
Let's be clear that the Club Licensing has been around for almost a decade but we decided to turn our eyes off it.

I hope this is the time for the real business?

Like I said earlier, there's a big difference between documentation & proper investigation of the documentation.
LMC will also set up an independent investigative body > First Instant Body (FIB), to verify submissions made by the clubs. There will be sanctions and appeals.

With sports facilities, Nigeria will produce great talents.

The old Maracana produced the likes of Odion Ighalo.

Upon completion of the ongoing project, the Maracana Sports complex will boast of 10 five-a-side, eight seven-a-side, one international size pitch,
50-metre Olympic size pool, one diving pool, a table tennis hall, basketball courts, tennis courts, gym for boxing and mixed martial gym, medical centre as well as an office complex.

This is massive.

The talents in Ajegunle have got a major boost.
NFF 1st Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi has described the gesture by the Nathaniel Idowu foundation as commendable while hoping that it would help to unearth more talents for Lagos.

MY OPINION ON SALISU YUSUF 👇

I don't have an issue with opinions on the Anas case, it will be there on Salisu forever. A few days ago on a Sports WhatsApp platform, I said that; Salisu needs to come out & speak about the incident. Push out his narratives & balance the mess.
The fact remains that, Nigeria's most successful CHAN team was achieved by Salisu in 2018.

Before Keshi, Nigeria failed to make it to the CHAN tournament twice.

Keshi came, qualified, and finished the tournament in SA with Bronze.
Oliseh came and failed to progress beyond the group stage in 2016.

Salisu stepped up, finished second in WAFU, and achieved Silver in Morocco, Nigeria's biggest achievement in CHAN history.
