Following his arrest by 20 plainclothes security agents, Behnam was beaten, held in solitary confinement with lights on for 24 hours a day, and interrogated without a lawyer present.
On 9 August 2019, following an unfair trial before Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, which used his forced “confessions” as admissible evidence, he was convicted of “gathering and colluding to commit crimes against national security”
Later, he sentenced to two years in prison and a two-year ban on involvement in social and political groups. He was released on bail on 29 May 2018 and was summoned to begin serving his prison sentence on 20 June 2020.

🟡ما در تاريخ انقلاب از ميوه چين دوران، هَمَه با همها تبديل به هَمَه با من ها شد، را تجربه كرديم: شرط اول اينست كه بايد هزينه مبارزه را پرداخت! اينكه يك روزه از خيلى از مسائل عبور كنى و از آكروبات بازى، فوتبال، كباب گوسفندى ياد "گذر از رژيم" بكنى، آيا ميوه چينى ديگرى هستيد؟

در بحثهاى اطرافيان گاهى نكاتى را ميشنوم كه بسيار رايج شده! نفرت كور از ندانسته ها!! افرادى كه نميدانند و به زور نادانسته هاى خود را ميخواهند بقبولانند!!
نميدانند كه مبارزه علم است!!! همان گونه كه به دانشگاه ميروى تا اقتصاد دان شوى و يا شركت راه بياندازى!
اصرار دارند كه "اين مجاهدين كى هستند كه براى مردم رهبر و رئيس جمهور تعين ميكنند!!! ... خانم، آقا ... ملّى گرا باشيد حزبگرا نباشيد براى مردم تلاش كنيد نه براى حزب و سازمانتان!!" اما نكته اصلى در اين حرفها گم ميشه و تفرقه بوجود ميآيد همان چيزى كه رژيم ميخواهد!
در اين ميان علم مبارزه گم ميشود، ابزار رسيدن به آزادى جامعه كجا ميرود؟ آيا بدون يك نظم و كارايى ميشود به هدف خود در هر زمينه رسيد؟
