This is a really good read. I urge to dorearead all of it, even though it isn’t just a quick twitter blurb

What is important is that you start to understand how the, behind the scenes in politics works

the majority of us do not understand how much is crafted and planned
We don’t believe in polls, in focus groups, marketing or the psychology of all of that.

And so it operates freely, without our scrutiny or knowledge

But its our country. And we need to know it as well as we know behind the scenes of our fave TV shows!
Urge you to read!!!!

Russian leadership is telling the Russian people that reports of what is happening in Ukraine are,
“FAKE NEWS”.

There it is. Propaganda.
The same propaganda that is happening here.
Why am I always hollering about how we should not buy into the propaganda that has been so effective here in America, designed to make us believe that the news is FAKE…because of THIS.

It’s propaganda.
Don’t be a useful idiot.
For DECADES the right wing has worked non stop to make you distrust the press.
Trump ranted constantly about “FAKE NEWS”.

Now we see Putin telling his people that the truth of what is happening in Ukraine if fake news.

THINK!!!!!!!

If you are over the age of 45, did you have civics classes in school?

Did you learn the basic principle of how the different branches of government work?

Do you know how to access that information now?
Do you understand how the press (the fourth estate) is supposed to work?

Do you understand the basic principles of our legal system?

Do you understand any of the principles of foreign policy?
Do you regularly read newspapers or other vetted publications?

Do you go to reputable publications and read articles about national and world events?

Do you watch the news on television?

Do you listen to podcasts about world and national events?

In the 4th grade on the schoolyard, we asked each other what we would do if we had been in Germany when the Nazis hauled away our neighbors.
It is a question that people all around the world have asked since WWII.

I am not sure that anyone with any serious understanding of history, thinks that ignoring monsters makes them go away.

Children on the playground used to understand that.
And it is more than what Putin is doing. It is how we approach what is happening here in the US.

Every single time these right wing extremists who are coming for our democracy, makes so much as a PEEP, we should all be talking about. It should be covered on every news station.

1)I walked away from the film industry 3 years ago.
I did not leave because I no longer liked designing costumes, or running a costume dept.

I still liked my ACTUAL job.

I liked the new challenges, all the new worlds that I can explore with each project…

#IATSESolidarity
2)I love the new group of people who comes together, collaborating, imagining, creating something out of nothing.

Seeing my costume sketch get up and walk around the room is a magical feeling. Never stops being thrilling. The same feeling after 30 years of designing…
3)But those magical moments were being killed. They represented about 20% of my day.

Yes, the design process, my JOB, was reduced to what I did on the weekends.
I designed costumes on the weekends, time spent and rarely compensated for…
