BREAKING: Two LASD Transit Security Bureau deputies have been shot at the Compton PAX station. I’m told by LASD that both were shot in the head by a male who got off a bus, then fled. Both hospitalized, Sheriff Villanueva at hospital now. @FOXLA
***Correction it’s Transit Services Bureau not Transit Security Bureau, my apologies ***
UPDATE: LASD sources tell me both deputies were in their vehicle when they were both shot in the head and that this was a “straight ambush”. LASD working on suspect info. @FOXLA
UPDATE: LASD sources tell me both deputies were in their vehicle when they were both shot in the head and that this was a “straight ambush”. LASD working on suspect info. @FOXLA
UPDATE: I’m told LASD is planning for a 10pm press conference at St. Francis hospital. @FOXLA
I have just been sent surveillance video of the shooting and can confirm it is 100% an ambush. Man slowly creeps up to the vehicle like he’s stalking it, fires shots through the window, then flees the scene. I will not post any of the video until given approval to do so. @FOXLA
I am hearing conflicting info on the status of both deputies so I will refrain from any talk of their conditions until I get more concrete info. I will not be showing any of the video unless LASD approves as it is quite upsetting. Just know it was a COMPLETE ambush. @FOXLA
BREAKING: LASD has given me the okay to show this shortened video of the suspect opening fire on the deputies in this ambush. Before the video starts, the suspect creeps up to vehicle. After it stops, deputy falls out and stumbles. Manhunt still underway. @FOXLA
There have been rumors that one of the deputies passed away. I heard some of the same talk, but my sources are telling me that is incorrect, that both are still alive and recovering. Sheriff Villanueva is holding a press conference at 10pm, so we will find out soon. @FOXLA
NEW: President Trump reacts to video of the shooting ambush of two LASD deputies in Compton tonight. @FOXLA
NEW: LASD announces both deputies are in fact, still alive. 14 homicide detectives are on scene. Very generic suspect description of a dark skinned male, per one of the deputies. Video was from a fish eye lens which potentially distorts suspect’s height. @FOXLA
NEW: Sheriff Villanueva says one deputy is a 31 year old mom of a 6 year old boy, other is 24 year old male. Says both deputies are out of surgery with multiple gun shot wounds & critical. Says this is now a growing trend of police being targeted in current climate. @FOXLA
“It pisses me off, it dismays me,” Sheriff says of the ambush. He says his deputies are stretched thin and that they have to have a buddy system and watch eachother’s backs. @FOXLA
NEW: LASD tells me a small group of protesters has shown up to the hospital the ambushed deputies are being treated at. @FOXLA
Anti police protesters for those asking. How insanely disrespectful. Unconfirmed reports they tried to get into the emergency room!
Confirmed via witness who talked to ABC7: Says protesters made derogatory comments towards deputies and tried to get inside the emergency room.
NEW: Here is a thread of videos from protesters who recorded themselves going to the hospital where the ambushed LASD deputies are being treated and shouting "we hope that bitch dies", "oink, oink" and "y'all gonna die one by one."
NEW: Video of witness reaction to the LASD deputies being ambushed & shot in Compton with these men seemingly celebrating what they’ve just seen. One yells “No justice, no peace!” as one of the deputies struggles to stand up. @FOXLA
NEW: Jose Ometeotl, the city manager of Lynwood, posted on his Instagram that “Chickens come home to roost” following the ambush shooting of two LASD deputies in Compton. One is a 31 y/o mom of a young boy, the other is a 24 year old male deputy, both very new. @FOXLA
This post was public from his public profile, but he has now made his account private after I tweeted his comments.
Here is the full post from before he made his account private. @FOXLA
NEW: The city of Lynwood has responded to their city manager’s public Instagram post that said “Chickens come home to roost” after the ambush of two LASD deputies. The city council says Jose Ometeotl’s comments were his personal opinion & do not reflect the city’s position @FOXLA
NEW: LASD & the families of the two ambushed deputies have given me permission to show this graphic photo of the moment after they were shot. I’m told female deputy was shot through jaw, still radioed for help & applied tourniquet to male deputy’s wounds. Both stable now. @FOXLA
NEW: Speaking with @KABCRadio . Sheriff Alex Villanueva issues a challenge to Lebron James to match the reward money on the table for the arrest of the shooter who ambushed two LASD deputies in Compton. County has put up $100,000 & private citizens have offered $75,000. @FOXLA
NEW: A local activist condemns what protesters chanted outside of the hospital the ambushed LASD deputies are being treated at, when they said they hope the deputies die.
“We hope they LIVE!” @FOXLA
BREAKING: Lynwood city councilman Sal Alatorre tells me he is authoring a motion for a “review of discipline or dismissal” for city manager Jose Ometeotl at a special council meeting tomorrow re: Ometeotl’s “chickens come home to roost” post about LASD shooting ambush. @FOXLA

EXCLUSIVE: We witnessed an incredibly rare sight in the sanctuary city of Los Angeles, as Twin Towers jail transferred an illegal alien inmate to ICE custody, not because sanctuary policies have changed, but because the jail is being *forced* to cooperate w/ ICE as part of a new federal operation designed to "neutralize" California's sanctuary state law.
The new Trump-appointed US Attorney in Los Angeles, @USAttyEssayli, launched "Operation Guardian Angel" last week, and it's already forcing sanctuary jails to make transfers to ICE.
How does it work?
Essayli has organized a federal task force made up of ICE, FBI, HSI, DEA, and ATF, working out of an office in downtown LA. Every single day, they are now scanning criminal databases w/ fingerprints and identifying illegal aliens in jails throughout Southern California who have been previously deported from the United States.
If they've come back to the US after a deportation, they've committed a federal felony under 8 USC 1326 known as "illegal re-entry".
As soon as the task force ID's an alien booked into a local jail who has a previous deportation, they seek a federal criminal warrant on them for felony re-entry, signed off on by a federal judge.
Unlike an administrative ICE warrant or ICE detainer request, these criminal judicial warrants for 8 USC 1326 *CANNOT* be ignored by sanctuary jurisdictions, and California's sanctuary state law cannot shield aliens from these criminal warrants. Instead of releasing the alien inmates and ignoring ICE detainers, jails must hand the aliens over to the Feds, regardless of sanctuary policy.
"With this operation, we're going to be neutralizing California sanctuary state policies," Essayli told me. "We're going to flood the system with warrants for criminal illegal immigrants who are in county jails, they can ignore a detainer, but they cannot ignore a criminal arrest warrant. They have no choice, they will comply, and if they don't, if they interfere with our ability to arrest a federal felon, they can expect to face consequences for that.
@FoxNews was granted exclusive access to the task force as they scanned databases and found a previously deported Mexican alien in jail in downtown LA who had just been arrested for robbery in the city of El Monte. They filed a warrant, and we joined them at LA County's Twin Towers jail as the sanctuary jurisdiction handed the alien inmate over to the task force - potentially one of the first on camera transfers to ICE since California's sanctuary state law took effect in 2017.
The task force says once they're at full steam, they project they will be arresting 40-50 aliens from local jails every week, and that if it's successful in LA, US Attorneys can use it as a model to neutralize sanctuary jurisdictions in other parts of the country.
Formal press release from Essayli's office officially announcing the operation & citing its importance regarding a story we covered in February re: a neighbor murdered by two illegal aliens in LA County while interrupting a catalytic converter theft. One of the aliens had been previously deported and had 11 ICE detainers ignored in CA since 2022.
BREAKING: DHS tells @FoxNews two Democratic members of Congress have “stormed” ICE’s Delaney Hall detention facility in New Jersey with a group of protesters and are currently holed up in/near a guard shack on the property. Fox is told the group waited for the gates to open to allow a bus with ICE detainees to enter the property, then they rushed in past security.
DHS says they believe two of the members of Congress are @RepBonnie and @RepMenendez, and video posted online appears to confirm they are both on site at the facility.
EXCLUSIVE: The families of two teens killed by an illegal alien who crashed into them while drunk, high, & speeding at 100 mph in OC in 2021 have been told by the state of CA that their killer will be released from prison early in July, just 3.5 years into a 10-year sentence for killing the teens, who both burned alive.
Oscar Eduardo Ortega-Anguiano, a twice deported Mexican illegal alien, had a lengthy rap sheet prior to killing 19-year-olds Anya Varfolomeev & Nikolay Osokin in the DUI crash on the 405 freeway in Seal Beach in November 2021. Both were US citizens, and they were dating. Ortega-Anguiano had several felony convictions, had gone to state prison, and had multiple convictions for driving without a license, but was still on the streets when he crashed into the teens' vehicle.
In spring of 2022, Ortega-Anguiano was convicted in OC of two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated for killing the teens, and a judge sentenced him to serve 10 years in prison for each count, but concurrently, meaning he would serve both 10-year-sentences at the same time.
The victims' families felt that was already a weak sentence, but they tell me they were notified by the CA Department of Corrections on Easter Sunday that Ortega-Anguiano is scheduled for an early release on July 19th, 2025, only a little more than 3 years into his sentence, leaving the victims' families shocked, and outraged given the seriousness of the crime and his prior criminal history. They provided us the CDCR document showing the July 19th release date.
The CA Department of Corrections wouldn't confirm the release date when I reached out, saying they "cannot provide information on an incarcerated person's release date or location in advance of their release." They added that "incarcerated persons may earn credits for participating in rehabilitative programming, which may move parole eligible dates to an earlier date.
ICE confirms to @FoxNews that they have placed a detainer on Ortega-Anguiano with the CA Dept of Corrections and intend to take him into custody upon his release. They hope the CA Dept. of Corrections will honor the detainer request and transfer him to their custody upon his release, which they often do. But the families fear, even if he is deported, he will just re-enter the US as a gotaway, as he's done twice before.
I sat down with the families of the victims for an emotional interview. They are furious about the scheduled early release, and say they will never forgive the illegal alien who killed their kids.
Full story here.
Full @FoxNews article on this story with colleague @cameron_arcand.
After it aired, Tom Homan said he will personally guarantee that ICE will have agents outside of the prison when he’s released, and they will look at prosecuting him federally for re-entry foxnews.com/politics/illeg…

The White House provided @FoxNews photos of some of the crown tattoos they say alleged TdA leader Arrechedera-Vasquez had on him. DHS intelligence has determined that crowns are one of the tattoo indicators of TdA involvement, as well as trains and AK-47s.
Secretary of State @SecRubio commented on the removals:
NEW: ICE confirms to @FoxNews that they arrested Jeanette Vizguerra, a convicted criminal Mexican illegal alien & immigration activist, in Aurora, CO yesterday. ICE confirms she has a final order of removal (deportation order) via a DOJ immigration judge, and has repeatedly had due process, including multiple stays of deportation. She notoriously hid in a Denver church for years to avoid deportation, and she has remained an immigration fugitive.
Despite having a final order of removal stretching back to the Obama administration, several Democrat politicians in Colorado falsely claimed today that Vizguerra has had no due process, including Denver Mayor @MikeJohnstonCO, who called her arrest a “Putin-style persecution of a political dissident”, and Senator @MichaelBennet, who claimed ICE detained her “without any due process, like a deportation order.”
ICE confirms she does, in fact, have a deportation order, and has had one for years.
Below is the background & criminal history on Vizguerra up until 2019, according to ICE:
•On Feb. 5, 2009, the ICE Denver office lodged an immigration detainer on Vizguerra-Ramirez.
•On Feb. 26, 2009, the Arapahoe County Court, Centennial, Colorado, convicted Vizguerra-Ramirez of forged instrument possession 2nd degree, and sentenced her to a term of 23 days in jail.
•On Feb. 27, 2009, ICE took custody of Vizguerra-Ramirez from the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office pursuant to an immigration detainer.
•On March 11, 2009, Vizguerra-Ramirez was released from ICE custody after posting an immigration bond.
•On March 27, 2009, Arapahoe County Court convicted Vizguerra-Ramirez of failure to display proof of insurance and driving without a license and ordered her to pay fines.
•On Nov. 18, 2011, a federal immigration judge denied Vizguerra-Ramirez her application for relief from immigration proceedings, but granted her a voluntary departure (considered an immigration benefit). She failed to depart the U.S. per the terms of the order within the 60-day window and instead filed an appeal with the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) on Dec. 16, 2011.
•On Sept. 8, 2012, Vizguerra-Ramirez self-removed to Mexico.
•On April 22, 2013, U.S. Border Patrol arrested Vizguerra-Ramirez in Candelaria, Texas, after she illegally returned to the U.S., and referred her case for federal prosecution for illegal re-entry after removal (a felony).
•On May 1, 2013, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Pecos Division, convicted Vizguerra-Ramirez of illegal entry (a misdemeanor), and sentenced her to one year of unsupervised probation.
•On May 2, 2013, Vizguerra-Ramirez entered ICE custody in El Paso, Texas, where her prior removal order was reinstated, pending her Dec. 16, 2011, BIA appeal.
•On May 30, 2013, the BIA considered Vizguerra-Ramirez’s case withdrawn because she departed the U.S. prior to a decision being made on her appeal.
•On June 7, 2013, ICE in El Paso released Vizguerra-Ramirez on an order of supervision because under policy at the time she did not meet the agency’s priorities for removal.
•On July 2, 2014, ICE granted Vizguerra-Ramirez’s application for stay of deportation until Feb. 1, 2015.
•On Feb. 20, 2015, ICE in Denver granted Vizguerra application for stay of deportation until Aug. 19, 2015.
•On Feb. 15, 2017, ERO Denver denied another application for stay of deportation. Her counsel notified ICE that she would be taking sanctuary in the First Unitarian Society Church in Denver and would not be reporting to ICE as ordered.
•On May 11, 2017, Vizguerra-Ramirez received an automatic stay of removal due to Senate Bill 603, a private bill submitted on her behalf and her removal was stayed until March 15, 2019. The private bill was not enacted.
•On March 14, 2019, Vizguerra-Ramirez once again sought sanctuary at the First Unitarian Society Church in Denver where she remains an immigration fugitive.
Here are the Denver Mayor’s comments on her arrest:
NEW: Per multiple federal law enforcement sources, anti ICE activists, which have been disrupting & live streaming ICE operations in the LA area in recent days, have now put up posters doxing SoCal ICE & HSI agents, revealing their faces, names, & phone numbers. I’m told ICE is aware and investigating. I’ve redacted one poster, which translates roughly to to the following:
"CAREFUL WITH THESE FACES"
"These armed agents work in Southern California. ICE and HSI racially terrorize and criminalize entire communities with their policies. They kidnap people from their homes and from the streets, separating families and fracturing communities. Many people have died while locked up in jails, prisons, and detention centers."
(Appears to warn of possible ICE operation about to take place in this area today?)
It is unclear which activist group is posting these.
Multiple anti ICE activist groups have banded together to find and disrupt ICE operations in SoCal in recent days. They boast about it and give local media interviews about it.
NEW: DHS & FBI LA statements to @FoxNews in response to these doxing posters:
From DHS spokesperson:
“These pathetic activists are putting targets on the backs of our law enforcement as they shield MS-13, Tren De Aragua and other vicious gangs that traffic women and children, kidnap for ransom and poison Americans with lethal drugs. These individuals will be held accountable for obstructing the law and justice. This shouldn’t be controversial.”
From FBI LA spokesperson:
“The FBI safeguards Constitutionally-protected rights, including freedom of speech and assembly. However, any individual who impedes law enforcement operations, potentially threatening the safety of law enforcement agents and subjects of their investigations, is subject to investigation and potential prosecution by the Department of Justice."
