here it is--The Final Cut of ACTION BUTTON REVIEWS DOOM! this is the biggest video i've ever made--and that was WITH help of @RyMiTay and non-twitter-user Josh "JW" Watson. thanks also to @Hbomberguy for proving three-hour reviews Are Good (and the cameo)
there was an audio mistake with the YouTube Premiered version--we were fixing it while the premiere was live. i'll private that version soon! if you left a comment on that upload, feel free to leave it again on this one :-D
there are a couple loose frames; the music is a little bit loud in a part. i've heard your concerns. these videos will get better every time we make one. we already shot the next review. i already wrote the next-NEXT review. i already *researched* the next-NEXT-next review, etc
we made this while i moved FOUR TIMES (in TWO months) and suffered a horrendous bout of shingles. i played 60 of my DOOM hours on a nintendo switch in a hotel bed. making this video was a trip to heck. i hope you enjoy it, because i'm too stressed to do that for at LEAST a year
as always, this video consists of multiple chapters. it's not a "three-hour review." it is a DVD Box Set Of Itself. consider it six separate stories. i'd encourage you to watch them in order, like episodes of a series, though you can do so out of order if you like.
if you have time to watch only ONE chapter of this (or any other Action Button Review), as always, we recommend whatever chapter title includes the segment called "THE POINT." this time, it's story # 4. this time i some dark places and it gets A Little Weird. more like it later!
also this episode features the first implementation of a Core Feature i dreamt up at the beginning. simply put: i designed a cover for Action Button Magazine's DOOM Issue. it figures into the chapter transitions. it might also not NOT hint at Future Merch . . .
in each video, i endeavor announce the NEXT video in as "clever" a manner as possible. some people would consider it a "spoiler" if i tweeted about the next video less than a few days after the upload . . . so i'll just say i'll be doing a stream centered around it this week!
. . . though also . . . in this video i actually announce the next TWO videos, which are being produced *simultaneously*. i thank the Actual Hobbit Cameras we used for the DOOM review for inspiring this idea in me
anyway!! that's all i got for now!! time to drive back to indianapolis!! see you all next time (a little bit sooner this time . . .)

i am currently writing a patreon post about this that is much longer and makes much less sense, so if you want to see that you can pay for it lmao
as i said in the fine print abovr, i don't understand how youtube processing works. this is a huge 4K60fps video. i have no idea what is taking so long. i haven't slept in four days. i am going to bed. i will launch the video whenever youtube is ready. and i'll let you know! oops
big news: i have decided that the second i click "public" on this video sunday morning, i am taking two full weeks off. i will do absolutely nothing. i ain't even gonna play any video games. don't even email me. well, back to work
btw i make this distinction right now, twelve hours into the friday of a 100-hour work week, because You All Out There can't stop calling me "lazy" in your emails, so i might as well Go For It lmao
really: a guy flat out told me "Just upload the video. You have literally the easiest job in the world." i realize that anyone who actually watches my videos would not even say something like that as a "joke", so i realize that guy was perfectly serious. lord
i made a massive patreon post about this, so here's the tiny twitter version: the cyberpunk video is REAL GOOD (and huge). it's gonna take another month. it's the best thing i've ever made, so please wait a little longer so i can finesse it! expect it week one of august.
additional contributions to the delay: the cyberpunk video too interconnectedly references the next six videos that i needed to also research and write outlines for the next six scripts while making this one. i played 110 video games total for this review.
Season Two of action button features Big Changes: finalized branding, a fancy website, new hires, and an extreme re-focusing of tone, mission statement, and style. i dare not spoil what i mean; for now let's leave it at: i'm gonna cut down on bad jokes (and cut UP on good ones).
i'm hearing rumors that nintendo is making a "nintendo switch pro" that will run breath of the wild in 60fps. this could be big
the above tweet is a joke. this one is not: my Inside Source at nintendo tells me that the nintendo switch OLED model does in fact run super mario odyssey at 60fps. very intriguing
i'm sorry: the above tweet was also a joke. super mario odyssey has been 60fps since day one both docked and handheld
BIG NEWS: after a year and a half of being My Beast Friend, as of this week "Little" Bibbithy "Bibby" D'Babbis Babbis has started approaching my desk and explicitly asking to be lifted into my lap, where he stands on all fours staring at the front door (his favorite stare-target)
i always wanted a dog that would sit in my lap by choice, though not a big one--not the kind of dog who feels more like a bad roommate when they in your lap. i mean like a small one who just kind of chills there. if only there was a word for that. oh well! back to work
getting bibby to do this has been a YEAR-long process of picking him up and putting him in my lap (aka "lap jail") when he barks too many times, because he can't get down from the chair by himself and it genuinely calms him down. well, now he stands up and asks! NOW back to work
it's JULY 4TH aka "America Day"! why not celebrate with my sousaful review of METAL WOLF CHAOS? this is one of the best videos i have yet made. i dare say no other review of METAL WOLF CHAOS is mathematically possible. thanks, @devolverdigital
don't YOU want to watch the review that got HUNDREDS of comments like THIS less than an HOUR after it was posted, from people who clicked on a twenty-minute video about METAL WOLF CHAOS and somehow made it through at least fifteen minutes???
some Production Notes on this video:
1. i wrote this script in 40 minutes--that's only twice as long as it took me to read it into a microphone! wow i type fast
2. this video took exactly one work day to write / produce / edit
