"We have to act as a nation," Biden says of climate change. "It shouldn't be so bad that millions of Americans live in the shadow of an orange sky and are left asking, is doomsday here?"
"It's happening everywhere. It's happening now. And it affects us all," Biden says of climate change.
"Donald Trump's climate denial may not have caused these fires and record floods and record hurricanes. But if he gets a second term, these hellish events will continue to become more common, more devastating and more deadly," Biden says.
Biden flips Trump's warnings to the suburbs: "If we have four more years of Trump's climate denial, how many suburbs will be burned in wildfires? How many suburban neighborhoods will have been flooded out? How many suburbs will have been blown away in superstorms?"

Biden in Pittsburgh: "Rioting is not protesting. Looting is not protesting. Setting fires is not protesting. None of this is protesting. It's lawlessness, plain and simple."
"You know me, you know my heart, you know my story. Ask yourself: Do I look like a radical socialist with a soft-spot for rioters? Really?" Biden says.
"If I were president today, the country would be safer and we'd be seeing a lot less violence," Biden says.

NEWS: Biden will begin traveling to battlegrounds after Labor Day. He lists Wisconsin, Minnesota, Arizona and Pennsylvania as among the states on his itinerary. He said he will “get out safely without jeopardizing peoples’ health.”
“I’m a tactile politician. I really miss being able to, you know, grab hands, shake hands. You can’t do that now. But I can, I can in fact appear beyond virtually in person in many of these places,” Biden told donors.

Biden on ABC about masks and freedom: “This is about freedom. It’s about freedom for your neighbors...First time I’ve ever heard people say that doing something patriotic that save other people’s’ lives impacts on their freedom. Come on. Give me a break. It’s about saving lives.”
Biden as David Muir brought up Trump’s questions about “mental fitness”:
Biden said questions about the fitness of candidates over 70 — himself and Trump — are valid and urged doubters to “watch me.” And he suggested he stacks up well in comparison. “Look at us both, what we say, what we do, what we control, what we know, what kind of shape we're in.”

"Help us, Joebi-Wan, you're our only hope," @HamillHimself says as he introduces Joe Biden at a virtual fundraiser.
@HamillHimself "Our opponent's campaign manager compared their operation to the Death Star," Mark Hamill said. "And I thought how perfectly tone deaf. And yet, right on brand for him to cast their side as the evil empire and us as the valiant resistance, fighting selflessly for freedom."
"They don't try to hide anything. They don't even pretend to be decently good, They're the Death Star," Biden laughed.

Joe Biden just told donors that he's spoken this week with a great-great-great niece of Harriet Tubman and a great-great-great grandson of Frederick Douglass.
Douglass' great-great-great grandson quoted his ancestor, “it’s easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” Biden said we've seen in protests that “there’s an awful lot of strong children out there I think are ready to fix things.”
Talking about Trump, Biden said, “I know he said he has made it famous, which I find preposterous, but today is Juneteenth."
