1/ We stand behind our warning that if someone chooses not to follow BYU’s COVID-19 safety requirements, on-campus privileges will be restricted. To date BYU has imposed disciplinary measures for 15 students who refused to follow these requirements.
2/ These measures include suspension or restrictions from on-campus participation, such as classes, work or in-person campus services. BYU has repeatedly & urgently asked members of our campus community to please be intentional right now to keep themselves and our community safe.
3/ We've been clear that in order for this semester on campus to work, it will take a concerted effort from all of us, working together. We will continue to collaborate with state, county & city officials, as well as @UVU, to encourage compliance w/ health and safety guidelines.
4/ The majority of students are following university, local and state health guidelines on campus. However, we are imploring our students to display this same kind of careful behavior off-campus for our community and our campus to stay safe.

"Besides encouraging temple worthiness and attendance, Pres. Nelson is also announcing and overseeing the building of temples at a prolific pace. This truly exemplifies the principle that belonging brings blessings."
We are aware of an incident last night on campus where racist, anonymous comments were submitted at a public panel discussion about race and immigration.
We reaffirm BYU’s stance of condemning racism in any form. We are committed to promoting a culture of safety, kindness, respect and love. We stand with our sponsoring institution, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which has stated:
