Do you know who was big on this sort of practice? John Tanton, the guy who founded the rebranded “population control” groups which are now all over DHS — and beyond.
You may recall I have been talking about this at length for some time. And now you know why.

I am sorry.

This thread has much more information if you're looking for background. I linked to everything I could

And my own story, which I first published in March 2017 to try to get people to pay attention to the horrors I feared were coming

From 2018, but new to me. This entire “overpopulation” moral panic was a racist farce from the start.

“David Brower, executive director of the Sierra Club, asked him to write a book in a hurry, hoping—“naively,” Ehrlich says—to influence the 1968 presidential election.”
“Ehrlich and his wife, Anne, who would co-write many of his 40-plus books, produced the first draft of The Population Bomb in about three weeks, basing it on his lecture notes.”

Per NPR: Just days before her death, as her strength waned, Ginsburg dictated this statement to her granddaughter Clara Spera: "My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed."
Everyone, disinformation is geared toward making otherwise engaged communities feel disheartened, hopeless, and as though nothing will change. THIS IS A LIE. You have the power. You have a voice. No one was ever going to save us from authoritarianism or fascism but ourselves.
So use it. The full-throated power of the American public is a wonder to behold. If it wasn’t there wouldn’t be such an effort to keep us split apart and distracted. Don’t be afraid to use your voices, on and off social media, for a better country and a better world. It works.

I know there are people like that everywhere (abusers and predators everywhere come to mind) but it’s particularly stark at the border. A lot of things are
I don’t know details on this doctor, I don’t know anything about him other than what’s been reported. But if you want to learn everything there is to know about the many contradictions inherent in people (and lose faith in humanity in the process, probably) hang out at the border

Disinformation doing what it’s designed to do
That damn Holocaust denial story is being misreported everywhere though. The reality of it is depressing, but it’s not that depressing.

I used to work as a reporter for @KPCC (aka Southern California Public Radio.) They knew exactly who we all were even back in 2008 or so. @LASDHQ is full of shit.

Plus, given how many of my colleagues from there have been targeted by law enforcement in recent months, I would argue that they know exactly who everybody is.
We should strip the responsibility of credentialing media from law enforcement agencies and give it over to community groups. They're clearly not capable of handling it and we obviously cannot trust them.
