This is part of Special Meeting @strathconares should be most concerned about. That even with intent to get info back for a workable option for emerg housing option as viable alternative to #Strathcona encampment, that Mayor & 2 Cllrs do not support decamping Strathcona Park. 
Special Council update. Council dealt with a long & convoluted motion that included things already being done/had been done like Province investing in hotels or concerting City owned buildings for emerg shelter space....
Council could have had a more focused discussion on one new option of Disaster Relief Centre already on docket for next week which mirrors extended Winter Shelter program I’ve advocated for.....
Other pieces of Motion like expediting Province announcesd Navigation Cemtre and the TMH units have already been discussed....
I believe it’s vital City not choose an option and then ask senior govts after the fact to pick up the bill, but that we focus on options together they will support......
I added amendments to exclude use of City community centres and childcare/daycare spaces for emerg housing as these are essential during pandemic for mental, physical well-being of so many....
And I amended to include consultation with @ParkBoard on options as it’s a moot point working towards relief for #Strathcona residents & unsheltered if Park Board isn’t on board...
